Bach Flower Remedies

why choose bacH flower remedies

This is a safe and natural method of healing discovered by Dr Bach in the 1930’s in England. Bach Flowers gently restore the balance between mind and body by relieving the person of their negative emotions such as fear, worry, concern and indecision which interfere with the equilibrium of the being as a whole.

The Bach Flower Remedies allow peace and happiness to return to the person so that the body is free to heal further.

Bach Flowers are made from wild flowers and are safe for the whole family, pets and other animals. There are no known side effects or allergic reactions. The remedies are are gluten free.
Each consultation lasts up to an hour. Although I prefer to see you in person, this be done over the telephone if necessary and I can post your personal Bach Flower mix to you. I can also work intuitively with you whilst finding the correct remedy for you. The Bach Flowers compliment any other support you may be receiving.

I’ll listen closely to you and ask relative questions which will enable me to make the best decisions which drops you will benefit from at that time. I’ll discuss with you what they can help with before making your personal mix.

about our Bach Flower remedies

The History of Bach Flower Remedies

Edward Bach studied medicine first in Birmingham and later at the University College Hospital, London, where he was House Surgeon. He also worked in private practice, having a set of consulting rooms in Harley Street. As a bacteriologist and pathologist he undertook original research into vaccines in his own research laboratory.

Dr. Edward Bach qualified as a doctor in 1912. He stated as he received his diplomas, “it will take me five years to forget all I have been taught.”

In 1917 Dr. Bach was working on the wards tending to soldiers returned injured from France. One day he collapsed and was rushed into an operating theatre suffering from a severe haemorrhage. His colleagues operated to remove a tumour, but the prognosis was poor. When he came round they told Bach that he had only three months left to live.

As soon as he could get out of bed, Bach returned to his laboratory. He intended to advance his work as far as he could in the short time that remained. But as the weeks went by he began to get stronger. The three months came and went and found him in better health than ever. He was convinced that his sense of purpose was what saved him: he still had work to do.

Homeopathic research

His research into vaccines was going well, but despite this Dr Bach felt dissatisfied with the way doctors were expected to concentrate on diseases and ignore the whole person. He aspired to a more holistic approach to medicine. Perhaps this explains why, not being a homeopath, he took a post at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital.

Once there he soon noticed the parallels between his work on vaccines and the principles of homeopathy. He adapted his vaccines to produce a series of seven homeopathic nosodes. This work and its subsequent publication brought him some fame in homeopathic circles. People began to refer to him as ‘the second Hahnemann’.

How we use bach flower remedies

What you will experience

There are 38 remedies in the Bach remedy system. Following a full consultation, we will understand the right combination for the remedy and provide you with instructions on how to use your new remedy solution.

For more information on which flowers are used to support your health, take a look at  https://www.bachcentre.com/new/en/remedies/the-38-remedies/

The healing power of the remedies can also be used with animals such as dogs and horses when they are displaying health or nervous symptoms.

When you and I use bach flower remedies

Each remedy is associated with a basic human emotion. Mimulus, for example, is for when we are anxious or afraid about something specific. Taking the remedy helps us overcome our fear and face it with courage.

The remedies are in liquid form so up to seven can be mixed together to give the final remedy needed to help balance  the current emotional situation. Like Dr. Bach, we believe that healing on an emotional level has knock-on effects on other levels. A healthy emotional life and a balanced personality will allow your body to find its own natural state of health.
